2011 Porsche 997 Turbo

The 2011 Porsche 911 - with the internal code 997 - debuted as a high performance, high torque machine. Coming equipped with refined turbos, the 997.2 takes off in an instant. The kind of power that comes with this incredible sensation of speed, makes the perfect track vehicle or a special spirited driving experience. This 911 does it all, while putting a smile on your face.

What Porsche has achieved in engineering is quite remarkable. With the first generation unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the updated 997.2 received a brand new 6 cylinder 3.8L boxer engine generating a maximum power output of 493 bhp and 480 lb⋅ft of torque. This makes the engine 22 pounds lighter than the previous engine, with additional turbos with a peak of 11.6 Psi. A brand new suspension set up allows all power and torque made to be delivered and sustained under the AWD system.

The look of the 997.2 facelift from the previous 997.1 was left mainly the same, with updated LED front and tail lights, larger exhaust pipes, and newly designed wheels.
